P1050161Walked for miles,went all the way to Butterwick,via the outer sea wall and returned by the inner wall.Was hoping for migrants but a few common warblers and a couple of wheatear were about the best of it.Back on the lagoons the common terns had arrived.Avocets numbered thirty or more and black headed gulls have taken over over every island,just like at Frampton.P1050164The terns were managing to keep one area gull free.What with avocets,gulls and terns it was pretty noisy.There weren’t many other waders.Tree sparrows and a song thrush showed near the car park.

P1050162Later I walked around the wetland trail where another wheatear showed itself,along with linnets,skylarks,meadow pipits,yellow wagtails and a greenshank.Out in the middle of the saltmarsh a deer was jumping over the creeks.I’ve never seen one on the saltmarsh before.P1050167
