More white-wingers

Cotham landfill.

Superb gull action at the moment, thousands of gulls coming and going. Again I found the three first winter glaucus gulls that were here yesterday. (Presumably the same ones). Also seen were a couple of very interesting birds with white/very pale wings. These have been seen previously and are widely considered to be herring gulls, though could have some glauc/iceland traces from somewhere down the line? Or, perhaps they are just lacking pigments in the feathers? I still havn’t seen the 2ndW Iceland gull that’s been around and I’ve more than likely overlooked a Caspian gull or two. Must have another bash soon.
