Well, I should have set me alarm for 5 instead of 6am ! On my approach to Skeggy Kev Wilson phoned, he’d had a dowitcher sp. fly south, accompanying some barwits. Frampton mob and everyone else alerted-wonder if it will get seen again-there are currently about 8,000 barwits in the wash not far from gib, maybe it’s with them but suppose it could go anywhere.
Best from my day: Pom skua juv, arctic skua/skua sp 15, bonxie, fulmar, gannet 100+, rt diver 7, guillemot, c scoter 20+, sandwich tern 200+, little tern, redstart, whinchat, spotshank 6, little stint, curlew sand, swift, tree pipit, spoonbill 9 on saltmarsh, 1 on freshmarsh.
