Seawatching slightly better now, an onshore breeze helping. Highlights;
Arctic skua, at least 5 chasing after the many terns out in the wash.
Bonxie (gt skua), this beast came right along the shoreline, putting up literally hundreds of resting waders and terns, then continued to harass terns out in the wash for the next two hours.
Little gull, first summer along the shoreline with sandwich terns.
Little tern, double figures.
Gannets, a few distantly.
Eider, 20+ on the water.
Brent goose, 11.
Scores of terns further out.
Peregrine, juv, flashed right in front of hide, could almost touch it before it saw me.
Teal, 28, south.
Many waders moving at peak of tide.
The bonxie takes my Lincs yearlist to 216 (BOU), 221 (UK400).
