Connected with the white rumped sandpiper this morning at Frampton, this was my fourth attempt following the initial report of one being seen a week ago. It never came as close as the other rare waders a few days ago but gave reasonable views through the scope. Looking much greyer, smaller and more streamlined than the many dunlins, it seemed to blend in to the mud more than the other birds but had a jizz all it’s own. A few curlew sandpipers still on show.
Been enjoying looking at this floral display on the house at the reserve entrance.
My Lincs yearlist now 212 (BOU), 217 (UK400).
