Neck collared greylag Marston. The WWT scheme ringers got back to us very quickly.
Ok, so it probably never originated from Iceland,but it’s history provides some interesting data:
First marked on Lake Windermere as part of a study looking into the moult dispersal of geese away from the area. Most birds from the project have been sighted in Lancashire, Cheshire, Northumberland and Yorkshire- however this is the first bird to have been seen in Lincolnshire as part of this study.
