Weds 9th March. Marston sewage works.
Trev texted to alert me of a common redpoll with the lessers this afternoon. Couldn’t find it but a quick check of the goose flock revealed a neck-ringed greylag. Iv’e long since suspected that wild greylags join the party at Marston as the numbers really swell in winter. Seven pinkfeet have been with the flock for a couple of weeks, though we only saw three today.
I have emailed the ringing scheme to find out details of the bird’s history.
