Thurs 12th Nov.
This cracking very pale common buzzard has been here a few weeks and will probably spend the winter here. It hunts the fields opposite the tip gates on the Buckminster rd.
Now my scope is on it’s way to Kowa in Germany for repair, I dug out my old opticron. My camera sort of fits and I can get photos, though not the sharpest.
Found Nezzy there when I arrived, he got some flight pics. See http://twitter.com/lincssnapper
The tip is being wound down, but there were a hundred or so gulls, including two adult yellow-leggeds. A couple of red kites drifted over and Nezzy heard a raven. Lots of skylarks and yellowhammers around plus a few tree sparrows.
