10th April

Anyway, another gorgeous day and one or two migrants are beginning to arrive. A couple of blackcaps and a handful of chiffys were mainly around the works area. Three or four swallows and a house martin were low over the willows and over the village. Two male yellow wags fed around the hooves of the horses in the paddock. Trev had another white wag yesterday. Frogs could be heard and seen in the channels.

At the Witham mouth yesterday this red-breasted merganser came fairly close.
