Chiffchaff – Queen Liz park Grantham

Had a wander around Queen Elizabeth park in Grantham this afternoon after work on a Warbler watch and saw at least 4 different very active and singing loudly Chiffchaff  from the playground area down to the fishing pond on the right of the riverside track. Got a few pics below …

Karen and I also spotted a lone Stock Dove that bolted just after I had enough time to fire off three shots at it. This bird was with 3 Wood Pigeons that obviously did not bother as the Dove flew off towards Manthorpe church.

I did see a flypast of another Stock Dove at the bottom of Green Lane on the way home could have been the same bird I guess?

Will be back soon for a walk on the look out for more arriving Warblers.
