Apart from a handful of chiffys, still no migrants, not at Marston anyway. By the 2nd of April last year I’d had wheatear, swallow, willow warbler, blackcap, little ringed plover and yellow wagtail. The relentless chilly winds are to blame, we’ve had some right gusts in the last few day’s bringing down trees and stuff. ‘Orrible conditions for birding.
Several water rails were still showing well today, and I managed a few photo’s including three birds in one shot.
The Egyptian goose and two pink footed are still around.
Yesterday at Langford I found a song thrush’s feeding station, this pic shows its anvil and spent snail shells.
