When it finally decided to stop raining I wizzed over to the patch. First bird seen was a kingfisher zipping down the ditch near the car park, nice start.
The reed warbler first seen on new years eve was still in it’s favoured spot at the edge of the reedbed, it looked well and seemed to be finding food, showing very very well.
All the usual suspects were seen, water rails giving good views.
Also, grey wag, stonechat, green sand, curlew 16, jay 2, bullfinch 3, tree sparrow 2, little grebe, g s woodpecker, goldcrest, golden plover 11.
