Connected with the rough-legged buzzard this time at Frampton. It was on the edge of a dyke, before disappearing into the dyke, out of view.
What with the days being so short I didn’t even bother going onto the reserve to see the thousands of ducks, geese and waders. Instead, I drove round to Freiston shore, arriving as the tide was in. Cracking views of peregrine, merlin and a ringtail hen harrier were enjoyed as I made my way to the seawatching hide.
On the sea were a few eiders, gt crested grebes and goldeneyes. A red throated diver went south and best of all a slavonian grebe was diving, fairly close in.
