Offshore breeze, sun/cloud, cool.
A skein of pinkfeet flew inland near Swineshead.
Cut End.
Brent geese and winter wildfowl now ‘in’, in good numbers. Three whoopers, (2 adults and a juv. flew over, calling). Not many migrants moving, odd redwings and a few skylarks.
On the sea were 6 red-breasted mergansers, a few eiders and a few great-crested grebes. A couple of juv. gannets flew south. Odd seals kept popping up.
Raptors around included a sparrowhawk, 2 kestrels, 2 common buzzards, ( a rough-leg was reported from the area later on) and a merlin.

There was the usual array of waders fed in the wash, wigeons and shelducks were around in good numbers.

Drove round to Freiston shore where there must have been 7 or 8 hundred wigeon. An Egyptian goose was hanging out with the brents. On the reservoir a dozen pintails were with the wigeon. At least 8 little grebes were on the lagoon.
