Return to Marston.

A good walk around the patch this morning, lots of birds around.

At least 4 stonechats, this sp can usually be relied upon here in winter, but they’ve been scarce for the last couple of years.

2 cetti’s warblers heard.

Half a dozen water rails heard, with one showing well.

A few redwings about.

650+ greylags, with 3 creamy white ones.

c80 pied wagtails.

c40 meadow pipits.

150+ linnets.

Little egret.

Willow warbler.

100+ b h gulls over, with a couple of common gulls.

3 kestrels.

12 wigeon.

Lots of robins and blackbirds.

Skylarks over in 2s and 3s.

5 mute swans.

3 grey herons.
