Gulls.

Marston gull-fest.

There are a large number of gulls in the surrounding area at the mo,waiting for tractors to appear. This morning an amazing 1,000+ lesser black-backeds were resting and preening on the large field that borders the works track and the road. This field was being shallow ploughed. With the flock were at least 10 adult yellow-legged gulls.A peregrine flew over and shifted the lot of ’em.Great sight. It looks as though there is plenty of ploughing going to go on,so birds should be around for a while. The greenshank was still around.
