Nipped out onto the Training Area at Area 51 to replenish the feeders and found they have had a proper chewing from a pesky squirrel!
It was very hot and apart from a few rooks and a lone buzzard there wasn’t much around.
What I did notice though was lots of butterflies in the wooded area, especially peacocks (I think).
Bugs n butterflies are not my strong point but I am learning so I stand to be corrected on my guesses, some however I will just leave to those who know!
Skipper?
Peacock

Grasshopper
Knew this was the caterpillar of a Cinnabar Moth because we saw some at Lakenheath on Monday and I was educated!

6 Spot Burnets?
Lovely pics Joe, your other butterflies are Large Skipper & Gatekeeper, The Burnets are 5 spot Burnets, 6 spots have three pairs of spots on each wing, you will notice yours have two pairs and a single spot.
Thanks Trev, it’s nice to get the macro lens out every now and then and not just point my camera at birds!
