With the brightish but very windy weather I pulled out of a planned visit to Marston and went instead to a patch I visited a few times last year but has been miserable all winter. What an unexpected pleasure! Apart from a large number of Wigeon, Teal, Gadwall, and Shoveler together with a pair of Oystercatchers, seven Curlew, about thirty Lapwing, four Skylarks, two Buzzards:
